The Original Mexican Textile Art Gathering arrived in Yucatán for the first time, bringing together 300 artisans from 26 states, representing 24 languages and indigenous peoples, in a celebration of creativity, identity, and collective work.
From October 16 to 19, visitors of all ages can visit the exhibition, where they will find textiles, jewelry, and utilitarian objects made with traditional techniques that preserve centuries of ancestral knowledge.
In addition, the event features artisans from Cuba and Paraguay, nations that share with Mexico a deep heritage of folk art and community knowledge.
