Bombardier announced an $18 million investment in Querétaro and the creation of 246 highly skilled jobs, as part of its expansion strategy in the state, which began operations in 2005.

Governor Mauricio Kuri González received executives from the Canadian company at the Government Palace, where he highlighted the impact the company has had in consolidating Querétaro as Mexico’s aerospace hub for nearly two decades.

The new investment will be used to strengthen its manufacturing capabilities for high-tech components.

“Querétaro has been an aerospace hub since this company’s arrival was announced on October 26, 2005. From that moment on, we are part of this great industry, which is like a human dream: to fly,” said Kuri González during the meeting with the delegation led by Tony Curry, Bombardier’s Vice President of Transformation.

The Canadian executive emphasized that Querétaro represents Bombardier’s largest operation outside of Canada and reaffirmed the firm’s confidence in the state.

“We are investing millions of dollars in the strength of that relationship. We seek to develop aerospace capacity in Querétaro,” stated Curry, who expressed his gratitude for the cooperation between government, industry, and academia that has allowed for the realization of advanced manufacturing projects in the state.

The investment consolidates Bombardier’s presence as a world leader in business aviation and reinforces its commitment to Querétaro talent in a sector that demands highly specialized technical expertise.

The announcement was attended by Alexandre Paul, Bombardier’s Director of Transformation; Martin Dugas, General Manager of Bombardier Mexico; Rogelio Vega Vázquez Mellado, Chief of Staff; Marco Antonio Del Prete Tercero, Secretary of Sustainable Development; and Alejandro Rolland Ruiz, Director of Industrial Development.
