The US dollar is trading at 18.59 Mexican pesos on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, according to data from the Bank of Mexico at the close of business.
At CitiBanamex, the dollar is being bought at 18.01 pesos and sold at 19.08 pesos.
At Elektra – Banco Azteca, the dollar is currently being bought at 17.15 MXN and sold at 19.15 MXN.
At international money transfer companies, the dollar is being quoted at 18.81 MXN at Western Union.
Meanwhile, the exchange rate at MoneyGram is 19.15 MXN per dollar.
The official exchange rate is determined by the Bank of Mexico based on an average of wholesale exchange market quotes for transactions settled on the second business day following the settlement. These quotes are obtained from foreign exchange trading platforms and other electronic means representative of the exchange market, the institution explained.
Over the past two years, the Mexican peso has remained relatively strong and without significant fluctuations against the dollar, compared to other world currencies. Following the presidential election in which Claudia Sheinbaum emerged victorious, the official currency devalued, surpassing the 20-peso mark, but in recent months it has strengthened again, trading below 19 pesos.
