The aroma of lime and the spicy kick of chili peppers are poised to once again conquer northern Veracruz and southern Tamaulipas with the seventh annual Ceviche Festival, promising a grand gastronomic and cultural celebration in the region.
The schedule indicates three days of activities, from November 15th to 17th, in El Paso del Humo, Pueblo Viejo; a place that will be filled with music, joy, and tradition, a blend of flavor, culture, and family fun on the riverbank.
The president of the merchants’ association and festival organizer, Miguel Reyes del Ángel, assured that they have worked to offer a safe and family-friendly environment, highlighting the implementation of a security operation and a secure setting for all visitors attending this sociocultural event.
“We are ready to welcome families from the region and visitors from other municipalities. We want them to enjoy a festival full of flavor, joy, and tradition, but above all, in a safe environment,” Reyes del Ángel stated.
The schedule of activities will begin on Friday, November 15th, with the crowning of the Ceviche Queen, a ceremony accompanied by a spectacular fireworks display. This event will mark the start of a weekend filled with color and tradition.
Organizers also confirmed that the dances will be completely free for all attendees.
The Paso del Humo (Smoke Pass) will be open 24 hours a day.
The heart of the festival will beat in the numerous food stalls, where ceviche, the region’s star dish, will be the undisputed protagonist. However, the culinary offerings will be complemented by other local delicacies.
Visitors can also enjoy an amusement park, craft stalls, and a variety of other items for sale, making for a complete traditional fair.
A key service during the festival will be the ferry service connecting Tampico and Pueblo Viejo, which will operate 24 hours a day throughout the three days of the event.
This service aims to facilitate access for the community and tourists, ensuring that logistics are not an obstacle to experiencing the festival.
With a solid structure and a diverse program, the Seventh Ceviche Festival is establishing itself as a pillar of tourism and culture in Pueblo Viejo. The organizers extend an open invitation to the public to enjoy an event that seeks to promote local traditions, strengthen family bonds, and revitalize the regional economy.
