This weekend, another name was added to the list of influencers murdered in Sinaloa during 2025. The most recent case to join this tragic list is that of Gerardo Moya, also known as “Jerry” on social media. Below is a recap of the homicides that occurred this year.

On January 10, the lifeless body of Agustín Paul, “Pinky,” was found bound hand and foot on the side of the Benito Juárez highway in the Barrancos sector of Culiacán. The victim showed signs of torture and at least one gunshot wound.

During the same month of January, Adal Peña, 42, known for posting content about a “fitness” lifestyle, was murdered. The influencer was attacked while exercising in a plaza located in the Tres Ríos sector of Culiacán.

At the end of March, local media and family members reported the disappearance of Víctor Manuel, “Brasileño.” Four days later, his body was found with gunshot wounds in a vacant lot in the Toledo Corro neighborhood of Culiacán.

Last weekend, “Jerry” was murdered inside his truck along with a companion during an armed attack. The incident occurred just meters from a shopping center and the Sinaloa State Attorney General’s Office.

In addition to the aforementioned murders, there are other cases of influencers who were killed in other states, but their names appeared on flyers, allegedly signed by “La Mayiza,” threatening 25 content creators for collaborating with the “Chapitos” group.

Last March, Gail Castro, brother of “Markitos Toys,” was violently killed in a restaurant in Ensenada, Baja California. The state Attorney General’s Office stated that the attack was planned and reported the arrest of two people connected to the case.

Camilo Ochoa, known as “Alucín,” was murdered during an attack at his home in Temixco, Morelos. The content creator’s body showed multiple gunshot wounds.

Although she wasn’t an influencer, María de Jesús, sister of the YouTuber “Conejito Toys,” was also violently gunned down. Her brother appears on the list of influencers threatened by “La Mayiza.”
