As part of the Sailfish 2025 Security Strategy, personnel from the Sixth Naval Region of the Mexican Navy (Semar) arrested 45 suspected lawbreakers and seized weapons, vehicles, and suspected drugs in various municipalities in the state of Colima.
In collaboration with the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), the Colima State Public Security Secretariat (SSP), and the Manzanillo Public Security Directorate (DSP), the arrests were made during the security strategy implemented the week of November 18-23.
These actions were carried out during ground patrols in various neighborhoods of the municipalities of Manzanillo, Tecomán, Villa de Álvarez, and Colima, with the goal of reducing violence and strengthening public safety.
This is how the arrest of 45 alleged lawbreakers was achieved, along with the seizure of 677 doses of suspected methamphetamine, 116 doses and two bags of dried herb resembling marijuana, a handgun, a homemade firearm, 149 rounds of ammunition, a property, a cell phone, a tractor-trailer, two cars, and five motorcycles.
The detainees and the seized items were turned over to the appropriate authorities for the preparation of the corresponding case files.
It should be noted that, since the implementation of the Security Strategy, a total of 132 arrests of perpetrators of violence at the first, second, and third levels have been made in the state.
