Ánima Village Plaza, located in the Cabo del Sol development in Cabo San Lucas, opened this Thursday, December 4th, with a high volume of visitors, despite the rain that fell during the afternoon.

The inauguration began at 5:30 p.m., when the stores opened their doors offering clothing, handbags, shoes, and other well-known brands that are part of the new commercial space.

Jesús Corral, a local businessman, pointed out that this type of investment represents a sign of growth and confidence for the destination. He affirmed that having international brands gathered in one place shows that Los Cabos continues to attract large-scale projects.

“Above all, having all these brands in the plaza is a sign that the next step in investment has been taken,” Corral commented.

Architect Javier Sordo Madaleno Bringas, creator of several of Mexico’s most exclusive shopping centers, was commissioned to design Ánima Village, a new development that, according to authorities and business leaders, confirms the enormous confidence that major investors continue to place in Los Cabos.

He emphasized that the destination continues to grow in high-end tourism, such as sport fishing, golf, and other luxury experiences, which generates high spending per visitor. He added that a shopping center of this nature is a good alternative for those seeking a day of shopping and helps boost the destination’s economic development.

He also added that it is positive that confidence in investment in Los Cabos continues to grow, so that this signal continues to be sent abroad to Americans, Canadians, and Europeans, encouraging them to continue coming and investing in the region.

Among those in attendance was designer Valeria Lobato, who traveled from Mérida specifically for the opening and said she was “impressed” with the architecture, the culinary offerings, and the natural beauty of Los Cabos.

He mentioned that, despite the light rain, it brought a steady stream of visitors to the space, where people continued to arrive, enjoy themselves, have cocktails, chat, and explore the wide variety of shops and businesses that officially opened this Thursday.

“It’s a plaza with a very special design, where the best brands are gathered in one place, so that visitors can find everything they’re looking for,” Lobato said.

Although it rained lightly, the opening day saw a constant flow of visitors who browsed the stores, socialized, and made purchases, generating significant revenue on its first day.
