State Guard personnel continue their presence and security operations on Federal Highway 101, on the border between Tamaulipas and San Luis Potosí, as part of Operation Heroes Paisanos 2025.
They are conducting surveillance, community outreach, and roadside assistance for motorists returning to Mexico during this season who use this route to travel to the central part of the country.
The goal is to provide support and security to visitors as they enter and travel through the state.
To this end, in addition to communication among the Highway Support personnel distributed across the network of 25 Safe Stations, inter-institutional coordination is maintained with federal security forces and Civil Protection to provide immediate assistance in emergencies.
Besides highway security in the mountain ranges, Highway Support personnel assist citizens with mechanical problems, provide guidance to drivers, and, when necessary, offer transportation to auto repair shops, tire repair shops, and gas stations.
