More than 1,500 young people from San Luis Potosí have gained access to English-language learning programs, while 14 students recently obtained their TOEFL certification and another 10 received scholarships to continue their training.
The support programs are coordinated by the Potosí Institute for Youth (Inpojuve), in collaboration with Jóvenes Eating the World, as part of efforts to expand academic and employment opportunities for young people.
During the event, Diana Sofía Aguilar Cruz was recognized for obtaining 573 points on the TOEFL exam, while other young people received free scholarships to begin or continue their language studies.
The head of Inpojuve, Jesús Adolfo Rubio Velázquez, said that training programs will continue in order to provide young people with tools that can strengthen their professional preparation.
The next English course will begin on September 14 and will have a $1,000 registration fee, payable in a single payment, in addition to a free placement test.
