The Government of the State of Colima rehabilitates 12 road sections in the municipality of Manzanillo

The Government of the State of Colima, led by Governor Indira Vizcaíno Silva, through the Ministry of Infrastructure, Urban Development, and Mobility (SEIDUM), is rehabilitating twelve sections of highway in the municipality of Manzanillo to strengthen connectivity and ensure safer and more efficient travel for users.

On the sections connecting Santiago, Chandiablo, El Huizcolote, and Camotlán de Miraflores, work is being carried out including earthworks, curb reconstruction, drainage ditch rehabilitation, pavement structure replacement, and ditch work. Among these #TransformativeWorks are:

Chandiablo-El Huizcolote Highway (km 13+000), with earthworks, curb construction, drainage ditches, and ditch replacement.

Santiago-Chandiablo-Huizcolote Highway (km 9+850), with pavement structure replacement and curb reconstruction.

Camotlán-El Huizcolote Highway at km 9+200, 9+080, 7+900, and 7+350, where pavement structure replacement, curb construction, and rehabilitation of washbasins are being carried out at various points.

Ciruelito de la Marina-Camotlán Circuit (km 0+400), where pavement structure replacement, masonry wall construction, and washbasin reconstruction are being carried out.

Puertecito de Lajas-El Huizcolote Highway at km 5+380 and 8+200, where the state agency is carrying out earthwork and pavement replacement, as well as the construction of curbs and washbasins.

On the Cedros-Huizcolote highway, work is underway at three different locations (km 13+000, 15+140, and 15+320), where masonry walls and culvert-type drainage infrastructure are being constructed, storm drains are being installed, embankments are being compacted, a hydraulic base and asphalt pavement are being laid, and horizontal road markings and alignment indicators are being installed.

These actions are part of the State Highway Network conservation and modernization program, through which Governor Indira Vizcaíno’s administration reaffirms its commitment to the continuous improvement of road infrastructure in all municipalities.
