“WHO PULLS THE STRINGS? FGR checkpoint ‘appears’ between Saucillo and Camargo in a context of debate for exposure.”

28

The controversy reignited this Tuesday after citizens reported that the FGR (Attorney General’s Office) checkpoint, accused in multiple complaints of alleged extortion on the highway to Delicias, was moved and is now operating between Saucillo and Camargo, with dozens of agents once again stationed there.

And the question is spreading like wildfire:
Who is ordering these movements… and for what purpose?

According to testimonies from motorists, the agents are demanding up to $200 from Mexican nationals, in addition to 2,000 pesos from vehicles with license plates from other states. The complaints have been reported to 911 repeatedly, but the checkpoints remain… only now they’ve been moved, as if someone wants to keep them out of the spotlight.

Meanwhile, suspicion is growing in the region:
Is this simply a “federal operation”… or a smokescreen in the midst of the conflict over border water?

Will any authority restore order?

Local sources indicate that the mayor of Delicias is considering taking action against these practices, as they directly affect the local population and those returning by road.

Furthermore, some agricultural producers are already expressing concern about resuming blockades as a form of protest, similar to what occurred in previous years, in response to what they consider yet another abuse of a region historically plagued by water, economic, and security conflicts.
