Driver’s licenses in Puebla will increase in cost; here are the details

The cost of issuing driver’s licenses in Puebla this year increased by 4 percent, with prices ranging from 560 pesos to 1,385 pesos for motorists.

According to the 2026 Revenue Law, modifications were made to the fees for driver’s licenses in the state.

Specifically, a six-month driver’s license for cars and motorcycles will cost 560 pesos, up from 535 pesos last year.

As for a three-year license, the price will increase from 860 pesos to 895 pesos, while a five-year license will now cost 1,385 pesos, up from 1,330 pesos last year. Regarding the driver’s license for commercial transportation services, valid for three years, it costs 1,695 pesos, while the one used for public and commercial transportation costs 2,210 pesos.

As for the temporary license, valid for six months for public and commercial taxi drivers, it costs 375 pesos.

The Revenue Law also stipulates a fee of 1,555 pesos for issuing a duplicate of the permanent driver’s license for motorists, motorcyclists, and private drivers.

Furthermore, the price of the theoretical knowledge exam, which is a requirement for obtaining a license, is 165 pesos.

These are the prices that drivers will have to pay to obtain their driver’s license this year, depending on the intended use and the desired validity period.
