Puerto Vallarta will begin 2026 with intense tourism activity due to the arrival of 24 cruise ships scheduled for January, reported the Puerto Vallarta National Port System Administration (Asipona Vallarta).
According to the official arrival schedule, January will see two triple arrivals, three double arrivals, and 12 single arrivals, confirming the destination’s status as one of the most important ports on the Mexican Pacific coast during the peak cruise season.
Asipona emphasized that this start to the year reaffirms Puerto Vallarta’s position among the most important routes for major cruise lines, maintaining a strong port and tourism dynamic that directly benefits the local economy.
Furthermore, the port authority stressed that the beginning of 2026 represents an opportunity to renew its commitment to continue offering quality services, authentic experiences, and the warm hospitality that distinguishes the destination for the thousands of international visitors arriving by sea.
The diversity of natural attractions, the rich cultural heritage, the gastronomy, and the hospitality of the people of Puerto Vallarta continue to be fundamental pillars for maintaining the preference of cruise lines, noted ASIPONA.
Finally, the Puerto Vallarta National Port System Administration called for continued collaboration between authorities, the tourism sector, and the community to consolidate the port as a benchmark of port and tourism excellence at the national and international levels.
It should be noted that 2025 concluded with 169 cruise ships docking at this tourist destination.
