A man from Veracruz was arrested in the Cumbres First Sector neighborhood after being stopped by municipal police officers who seized a firearm and several bags of suspected drugs during a routine check.
The incident occurred at 3:55 p.m. on Friday, at the intersection of 15th and 12th Avenues, within the first sector of the Cumbres neighborhood, west of Monterrey.
The detainee was identified as 35-year-old Fabián Esteban “N,” who was approached by Monterrey police officers while they were patrolling the area.
According to official information, the officers observed that the man was allegedly drinking alcohol in public and had difficulty standing, which prompted them to conduct a search.
When they attempted to search him, the man initially refused, but they found a black semi-automatic pistol, three small gas canisters, 16 silver pellets, and three plastic bags containing marijuana. Fabián Esteban “N” was transferred to the Monterrey Police facilities for the corresponding investigations.
