Tourism in Mexico reaches its highest figures in the last 7 years in November

International tourism in Mexico registered its best performance in the last seven years in November 2025, receiving 8.8 million international travelers, according to figures from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), analyzed by TRResearch International.

This figure represents a 16% increase compared to November 2024 and makes November the month with the highest tourist arrivals in all of 2025, surpassing July (8.4 million) and October (8.3 million).

During November, the country received US$3.002 billion from international tourism. The average expenditure per visitor was US$342, lower than that observed before the pandemic; however, the high volume of travelers allowed the country to reach the highest revenue level for the month of November in the last seven years.

The evolution of international visitor revenue in November reflects a sustained recovery:

2019: US$1.897 billion
2020: US$857 million
2021: US$2.131 billion
2022: US$2.436 billion
2023: US$2.481 billion
2024: US$2.755 billion
2025: US$3.002 billion

Air travel continues to be the primary mode of entry into the country. In November 2025:

82% of visitors arrived by air
18% entered by land
This distribution has remained stable in recent years, according to official records.

More than 111 million visitors during the six-year term

In the current six-year term, Mexico has received 111 million international visitors, of which:

24.1 million were in 2024
86.9 million were in 2025
The monthly figures confirm that November 2025 was the peak month of the year, solidifying a positive trend for the tourism sector.
