Traffic for compact cars was restricted on the Villahermosa-Teapa highway, between kilometers 41 and 46-47, due to flooding caused by rains associated with cold front number 30.
Civil Protection authorities reported that, due to the depth and strong current of the water on the road, only vehicles weighing more than three tons are permitted to pass, while traffic for lighter vehicles remains closed for safety reasons.
They also indicated that rainfall is expected to continue throughout the day, which could increase river levels and runoff in the area.
Finally, they urged the public to follow the instructions of personnel deployed at the scene and stay informed through official channels.
