For the second consecutive year, the state of Sinaloa is participating in Expo Gulfood Dubai 2026, with the goal of strengthening the presence of Sinaloa chickpeas in the Middle Eastern market.
This year, a delegation of producers and distributors from the state aims to sell approximately 70,000 tons of the grain.
The Secretary of Agriculture and Livestock (SAyG), Ismael Bello Esquivel, who also attended the event, noted that, unlike the previous agricultural cycle, this year’s production is expected to be lower, with the harvest estimated at only about a third of the volume obtained last year, which could benefit sales.
