From January 29th to February 1st, the eleventh edition of the Zipolite Nudist Gathering 2026 will take place, bringing together the best of music, traditional parades, yoga, workshops, and unique experiences on the only officially recognized nudist beach in Mexico.
This gathering is considered one of the most important events for the nudist community worldwide and will feature diverse activities that promote the cultural and natural richness of this destination in the municipality of San Pedro Pochutla, Oaxaca.
The Nudist Gathering program includes activities that celebrate culture, art, and sports, including walks, yoga, photography classes, body painting, traditional parades, massage workshops, nudist volleyball, nudist socializing, and beach clean-up days.
In 2024, this beach was declared a Biocultural Heritage Site and the only nudist beach in Oaxaca, which celebrates each year this gathering of bodily freedom, connection with nature, and the cultural diversity of the region.
Traveling to Zipolite by car will take a considerable amount of time, potentially 10 to 12 hours. Take Highway 95D or Highway 135D and continue to Pochutla on Highway 175. From Pochutla, take the coastal highway towards Zipolite.
Another option, and the most economical, is to travel by direct bus to Pochutla or Puerto Ángel from the Southern Bus Terminal (Taxqueña) or the TAPO terminal, using lines such as ADO, OCC, or AU.
The travel time will be 12 to 14 hours, depending on whether you choose standard, executive, or luxury service. You will need to get off in Pochutla or Puerto Ángel and take a taxi or shared taxi (colectivo) to Zipolite Beach, a 20-minute ride. Bus tickets to this destination cost less than 1,000 pesos.
But if you’re looking to save time, the best option is to fly to Huatulco from Mexico City International Airport (AICM) or Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) to Huatulco Airport.
