If you’re craving a colorful, musical, and ocean-inspired plan this February, get ready because the Veracruz Carnival is coming to Mexico City with a special edition that promises to resonate in your body and soul.
From February 12th to 15th, the Roma neighborhood will be filled with the vibrant rhythms of Veracruz thanks to Latidos Jarochos, an experience that brings a piece of the port city to the heart of the city.
This celebration is part of a themed edition of the Bazar México de mis amores (Mexico of My Loves Bazaar), which for four days will transform into a space to honor Veracruz culture through various expressions: music, dance, art, gastronomy, and spirituality.
Latidos Jarochos is more than just a bazaar; it’s a complete cultural experience. There will be traditional music and dances, creative workshops for all ages, a market featuring entrepreneurs with projects inspired by Veracruz, and a delicious food and beverage area where the state’s typical flavors will be plentiful.
One of the most striking spaces will be the Mystic Zone, designed for those seeking to connect with spirituality and ancestral traditions, as well as activities that celebrate Veracruz identity and folklore from a contemporary perspective.
The event will take place at the renowned Huerto Roma Verde, located at Jalapa 234, in the Roma neighborhood, from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., making it a perfect plan to visit before or after lunch, or even spend a good part of the day exploring every corner.
If you can’t travel to the port city this year, this is the perfect opportunity to experience the spirit of the Veracruz Carnival without leaving the city. Four days will be all it takes for the Roma neighborhood to throb to the rhythm of Veracruz.
