The completion of one of the most anticipated mobility projects in central Mexico is drawing ever closer. After years of construction, technical adjustments, and partial openings, the exact date for the full inauguration of the Mexico City-Toluca Interurban Train route has been set.

The complete operation of the system will allow thousands of users to travel the route in less time and with greater safety, offering a modern alternative to the congested vehicular traffic in the area connecting to Mexico City.

When will the inauguration take place?

Recently, Claudia Sheinbaum announced that the official date for the full opening of the interurban train line connecting the State of Mexico with Mexico City has been set.

The inauguration will take place next Monday, February 2nd, a non-working day in the country, after the official holiday of February 5th was rescheduled.

The construction work has officially concluded, as well as the final phase of dynamic and static testing necessary to guarantee the safety of users. Following the completion of these works, the two remaining stations will be opened, allowing the line to be fully operational.

The official opening of this intercity train route has been announced. Along its route, it will serve seven stations located between the State of Mexico and Mexico City.

This will be the complete route of the Mexico City-Toluca intercity train.
