The Secretary of Sports and Youth, Gabriela Sánchez, announced the Guerreros de Puebla 2026 tactical-military race that will take place on February 28.

During her speech in the traditional morning meeting, the minister confirmed that this event will be held in coordination with the 25th Military Zone.

In addition, this race will be held in the month in which the Mexican Army and Air Force are commemorated.

This activity aims to provide a space to encourage sports practice in Puebla families and, at the same time, bring citizens closer to the armed forces.

The event will feature distances of two, five, and seven kilometers, and the circuits will include obstacles to make it more challenging.

There will also be children’s, intermediate, and advanced categories so that all members of the family are encouraged to participate.

It should be noted that the children’s category will cover boys and girls between seven and 13 years old. While the intermediate and advanced will be free categories.

In this sense, Gabriela Sánchez reported that the Puebla 2026 tactical-military race will be an event that brings together “discipline, challenges, and sportsmanship.”

To this, he added that “it is not just any race” because the route will include different obstacles and levels of difficulty so that everyone can participate.

On the other hand, he revealed that the starting flag will be at 9:30 a.m. at the facilities of the 25th Military Zone.

Free registration to participate in the Puebla 2026 tactical-military race

Meanwhile, to encourage the participation of a greater number of people, the authorities announced that registration would be completely free.

Therefore, people will be able to complete their registration at any of the sports centers of the Ministry of Sports and Youth as of February 16.

Similarly, the agency clarified that the Puebla 2026 tactical-military race expects the participation of 1,500 runners of all ages.

Finally, Gabriela Sánchez stressed that with the support of Governor Alejandro Armenta, the entity will continue with its transformation so that boys and girls can achieve their dreams through sports.
