Floats, dance troupes, costumes, and entertainment groups filled the streets of Ciudad Madero, with actress Aylín Mujica, actor Julio Camejo, and Aarón Mercury in attendance. The festivities culminated in a spectacular concert by El Poder del Norte.
In a completely family-friendly atmosphere, hundreds of visitors enjoyed the first parade of the 2026 Tamaulipas Carnival in Ciudad Madero.
The Secretary of Tourism, Benjamín Hernández Rodríguez, along with the mayor of Tampico, Mónica Villarreal Anaya, and the mayors of Madero, Erasmo González Robledo, and Altamira, Armando Martínez Manríquez, joined the celebration amidst the floats, vibrant dance troupes, spectacular costumes, and entertainment groups.
The streets transformed into a festive corridor where a family atmosphere prevailed. Children, women, men, and seniors enjoyed the afternoon and evening, admiring the parade floats, applauding the participants, and taking souvenir photos.
It’s worth noting that every day of the carnival, emergency services and first aid are present throughout the event to ensure the safety and well-being of all attendees.
This Saturday, February 14th, the festivities continue in the port of Altamira with the second day of parades, followed by a free concert featuring the cumbia rhythms of Sonora Dinamita and a romantic performance by Manuel José—the perfect evening to celebrate Valentine’s Day, making Tamaulipas a truly memorable event.
