The Panama-Los Cabos air route, operated by Copa Airlines, continues its operational success with load factors exceeding 80%, according to the Los Cabos Tourism Trust (FITURCA). This performance places Los Cabos ahead of other beach destinations in Mexico in terms of recent booking volume.
Rodrigo Esponda, director of FITURCA, highlighted the route’s competitiveness compared to other domestic connections.
“The load factors have been very good, above 80%. Compared to other beach destinations in Mexico, the flight to Los Cabos shows superior performance,” Esponda noted.
The main source markets for tourists to Los Cabos are currently Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Panama, and Costa Rica, solidifying the city as a key destination for visitors from South America.
According to FITURCA, the Panama-Los Cabos route will generate an estimated annual economic impact of $25 million and attract more than 25,000 tourists each year. This influx of visitors strengthens the diversification of the destination and its positioning in international markets.
