I have stated here and in other forums that the most important task for Mexicans at this moment should not be to fight against the Obrador administration, but rather to organize ourselves to make the right decisions in the near future about who will replace it, how, and for what purpose. Creating a team of honest and capable men and women, broad and diverse, with a genuinely humanist and democratic agenda and a rational government project that will replace the inept, corrupt, and murderous narco-state in the near future, is an ethical imperative that no self-respecting Mexican should ignore.
I reiterate: It has been proven beyond a doubt that the so-called “National Regeneration Movement” has proven to be an instrument of national degeneration and that its internal rot is irremediable and total. But let us not be naive: although it may seem impossible, if we citizens who desire the good of Mexico do not resolutely assume our political responsibilities, from the ashes of the nefarious Obrador administration, a mafia even more cavernous than the current one will emerge.
Given the irrefutable evidence that the ruling group provides us daily of its internal decay, displaying the furious infighting with which they tear each other apart, as well as the accusations of theft, crimes, and betrayals they level against one another, it is incredible that there are still Mexicans, cowed, fearful, and paralyzed, who consider them powerful and eternal.
In addition to the colossal robberies perpetrated by the ruling party, which have been fully documented and are covered up with impunity, monumental scandals have begun to emerge, denounced by the ruling party itself, to the delight of many and the shame of Mexico. For example: as soon as the horrifying governor of Campeche appears, with a diabolical countenance, imprisoning journalists and threatening to strip the deputies of her own party who refused to submit to her excesses, the delusional pseudo-Marxist Marx Arriaga emerges, throwing tantrums, beating up Secretary Mario Delgado, and exposing the rot and betrayal within his own squalid sty; and now Julio Scherer delights us with the virtuous life of Jesús Ramírez Cuevas, former advisor to Tartuffe and currently to the Harpy (with an A), revealing what all of Mexico already knew: the moral depravity of this fellow and that which exists in the fetid sewers of the Obrador administration, seasoned with the accused’s response, leaving us with the lasting impression that they revealed each other’s true colors.
Expecting the Harpy (with an A) to clean up the mess left by the current administration is a pipe dream, for the following reasons:
1) She is forced to guarantee impunity for the scoundrels who brought her to where she is.
2) She lives on her knees before the Empire.
3) She keeps Mexico polarized.
In short, because she is merely the pristine cherry on a poisoned cake.
