Oaxaca in the eye of the national storm due to the complicity of the ASF’s corruption in the Interoceanic Corridor, the Navy’s involvement in fuel theft, and the cocaine seizure

The corruption of Bobby López Beltrán and his cousin Pedro Salazar Beltrán in the construction and subsequent derailment of the Interoceanic Highway is scandalous, with a tragic toll of 14 dead and 100 injured. David Colmenares, from Oaxaca, appointed by Andrés Manuel López Obrador to the Superior Audit Office of the Federation (ASF), remained complicitly silent for eight years regarding the corruption within his administration.

Once again, stubborn reality prevails. And it confirms that Oaxaca is unique, magical, and enchanting. In its people, from the eight regions of the state and the capital, both misery and grandeur coexist.

Today, Oaxaca, the Great Lady of the South, is once again at the center of a national storm due to the ASF’s complicity in corruption with David Colmenares Páramo during the eight years of the current administration.

At the same time, he is under scrutiny for the corruption of Bobby López Beltrán and his cousin Pedro Salazar Beltrán in the construction and derailment of the Interoceanic Train, which resulted in 14 deaths and 100 injuries.

President Donald Trump is investigating Andrés Manuel López Beltrán, Jesús Ramírez Cuevas, and Audomaro Martínez Zapata, who are allegedly linked to drug trafficking.

The eyes of Mexico and the world are on the involvement of the Secretary of the Navy, Pedro Raymundo Morales Ángeles, from Oaxaca, in the fuel theft scheme involving 600 billion pesos.

Likewise, Oaxaca is once again the subject of a national scandal due to the seizure of a drug plane carrying half a ton of cocaine, equivalent to millions of doses destined for street sales.

The resignation of 24 state government officials and members of the Morena party leadership has not gone unnoticed, following persistent accusations of nepotism and the recall referendum.

Unfortunately, criticism of the government of the “Oaxacan Spring” continues due to the disappointment generated by the new appointments, which strengthen three families entrenched in power.

Appointed by Andrés Manuel López Obrador to the Federal Auditor’s Office, David Colmenares Páramo, from Oaxaca, spent eight years remaining silent in the face of corruption within his administration.

Eight years of silence and complicit complacency were sharply criticized in the vitriolic statement: “Not detecting corruption is also corruption.” And, in the height of cynicism, David is attempting to get re-elected.

The Federal Auditor’s Office detected unsanctioned irregularities totaling more than 65 billion pesos in public spending in 2024, the last year of Andrés Manuel López Obrador’s presidency.

Things are getting complicated for AMLO’s Navy Secretary, Rafael Ojeda, and Claudia Sheinbaum’s Navy Secretary, Pedro Raymundo Morales Ángeles, from Oaxaca, due to the corruption surrounding the “Huachicol Fiscal” (tax-related fuel theft).

The audio recording of Rear Admiral Fernando Guerrero, who denounced the scandalous corruption of the “Huachicol Fiscal” confirms that he was executed after reporting it to Secretaries Ojeda and Morales.

“There are two options here. We either expose all of this or we try to keep it quiet between us,” revealed Rear Admiral Guerrero in the audio, speaking to two Navy secretaries and released by Carmen Aristegui.
