The Ixtapa Zihuatanejo Hotel Association announced that, given the current situation on some routes in the region, a support and assistance program has been activated for guests experiencing difficulties continuing their travel.
In an official statement dated February 22, the association announced that, in coordination with the general managers of the destination’s hotels, they are offering one- or two-night extensions of stay, as needed, with preferential conditions, so that visitors can remain in a safe environment.
The association stated that the main objective is to safeguard the well-being of tourists, avoid unnecessary travel, and allow transfers to take place only when adequate security conditions exist.
Guests experiencing difficulties leaving the area are encouraged to visit their hotel’s reception desk, where they will receive guidance and alternative accommodations for their temporary stay.
The hotel group reiterated that it maintains constant communication with local authorities and hotels in the destination to provide timely information and support visitors, reaffirming its commitment to the safety and well-being of those in Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo.
