The “Film Tour SLP,” an immersive walking tour through the Historic Center of San Luis Potosí led by journalist and film critic Carlos Gómez Iniesta, a member of the Morelia International Film Festival and general director of The Film Tour Mexico, will take place this Sunday, March 1st, at 5:00 p.m. as part of the 85th Anniversary of the Cineteca Alameda. The tour aims to rediscover how the capital of San Luis Potosí has established itself as a film and television location.
During the tour, participants will learn how the city’s plazas, streets, and emblematic buildings have been reinterpreted as settings for national and international productions, contributing to the visual and cultural identity of San Luis Potosí. The Film Tour SLP highlights the architectural and audiovisual heritage of the capital, as well as the work of the people of San Luis Potosí who have been part of its cinematic history.
This experience invites reflection on the role of cinema as a generator of memory and cultural projection. When a city is filmed, it becomes not just a backdrop, but a living narrative that redefines its spaces, its stories, and its inhabitants.
Space is limited, and the cost is $500 pesos per person. Tickets are available at the Tixy Go box office, open Monday through Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and online at https://tixygo.com/
