Tech entrepreneur Elon Musk publicly reacted to the possibility of facing legal action from the Mexican government after posting comments on social media directed at Mayor Claudia Sheinbaum.

The exchange arose following posts related to a recent security operation in the country.

Through his company X, the Tesla CEO wrote a message in an ironic tone, claiming that the mayor was “violating his human rights,” accompanied by a laughing emoji.

In another post, the magnate asserted that the Mexican government was taking more action against him than against criminal organizations.

During her morning press conference, the mayor confirmed that her administration is evaluating the possibility of initiating legal proceedings stemming from Musk’s social media comments.

The controversy intensified after the entrepreneur responded to a user with a phrase questioning the mayor’s previous statements regarding the security strategy and the fight against organized crime. These remarks generated public debate and reactions both in the political sphere and on digital platforms.

Elon Musk Fuels Political Tensions After Security Operation
The exchange comes days after a drug raid by Mexican special forces that resulted in the capture and subsequent death of Nemesio Oseguera, known as “El Mencho,” identified as the leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).

Following the operation, authorities reported violent incidents in various regions of the country, including vehicle fires and attacks on properties allegedly linked to criminal groups.

In this context, the back-and-forth statements between Elon Musk and the Mexican government have added a political and media dimension to a scenario already marked by security tensions.
