Vive Latino is preparing to welcome thousands of attendees to its 2026 edition, and as part of the event’s organization, the official rules regarding permitted and prohibited items have been released. These regulations aim to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for the public attending the festival at Estadio GNP Seguros.
In its 26th edition, the Ibero-American Festival of Musical Culture established a clear classification for attendees: items that “Rock,” meaning those permitted upon entry, and those that “Don’t Rock,” considered inappropriate or potentially risky within the event.
Just days before the festival, the organizers also confirmed the cancellation of The Mars Volta’s performance. The band was scheduled to perform on Sunday, March 15, as one of the headliners. According to the official statement, the cancellation is due to circumstances beyond the band’s control, though specific details regarding the reasons have not yet been revealed.
The news sparked a range of reactions among festival fans. On social media, some attendees expressed their discontent, noting that they had purchased their tickets primarily to see the band. Other users responded with ironic comments or suggestions for possible replacements, even mentioning musician Jay de la Cueva as an alternative. So far, the organizers of Vive Latino have not confirmed whether a substitute artist will be announced to fill the slot left by the American group.
