The Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications, and Transportation (SICT) announced a special operation to support drivers during the 2026 Easter holiday period in Chihuahua.

From March 27 to April 12, 12 teams will patrol toll-free federal highways to assist motorists experiencing mechanical problems such as flat tires, dead batteries, or other minor issues.

The deployment will cover Federal Routes 2, 10, 16, 24, 45, and 49, where personnel will also provide towing, traffic control, and roadside assistance. The units will be clearly identified and equipped with tools, a first-aid kit, gasoline, water, and safety equipment.

The agency urged travelers to call 911 in case of emergency and reiterated that the operation aims to protect those traveling on the highways during this holiday period.
