For the benefit of students in Guanajuato, the Ministry of Public Works (SOP) is strengthening educational infrastructure in the municipality of San Miguel de Allende with the construction of the second phase of the laboratory for the viticulture program at the Technological University.
With an investment of 12,059,792 pesos, the following work was carried out:
Construction of a module.
Wine cellar.
Access ramp to the basement.
Receiving and preparation area for raw materials.
Fermentation, must, and wine processing area.
Oenology laboratory on the ground floor.
Staircase module.
The project also included the demolition of existing structures and the preparation for retaining walls.
As complementary works, a vehicle ramp, perimeter walkways, and electrical, plumbing, and stormwater drainage systems were constructed.
The head of the Ministry of Public Works (SOP), Juan Pablo Pérez Beltrán, emphasized that these actions are in response to Governor Libia Dennise’s directive to strengthen educational facilities throughout the state, helping young people study in better conditions.
Finally, he noted that there is ongoing coordination with the Guanajuato State Department of Education to address the educational infrastructure needs in the state.
