The Ministry of Tourism held the 20th edition of ExpoViaja 2026 this past weekend at the Chihuahua City Convention Center.
The expo brought together the state’s leading tourism service providers, including tour operators, travel agents, tour guides, and airlines, who offered special promotions for the general public looking to plan their next vacation.
As part of the 20th anniversary celebration, the Ministry prepared an immersive video and sound experience themed “Chihuahua is For You, Discover It!”, showcasing some of the state’s main attractions and destinations in a large-scale format.
The presentations included the five Magical Towns, Barrancas Park, the historic center of Chihuahua City, as well as Ciudad Juárez and the Samalayuca Dunes, along with images of the gastronomy and culture of these regions.
The opening ceremony was attended by Julio Omar Chávez, director of the ¡Ah Chihuahua! Tourism Promotion Trust, representing the Secretary of Tourism, Edibray Gómez Gallegos.
Also present were Adalberto Castro, director of ExpoViaja; Vanesa Baca, deputy director of Tourism for the municipality of Chihuahua; Tere Lucy Domínguez, representative of the Organization of Women Experts in Tourism; and Julio César Arizpe, president of the Association of Tour Operators.
All exhibitors are officially accredited by the National Tourism Registry, guaranteeing the services offered.
