At the launch of “Operation 2026,” Governor Miguel Ángel Navarro Quintero announced that an economic impact of nearly 6 billion pesos is expected during the Easter holiday period, along with the arrival of approximately one million visitors to the state’s main tourist destinations.
The governor commented that Nayarit has moved beyond being a promising destination and has become a reality in the tourism sector, with rapid growth that positions it as one of the most attractive destinations nationally and internationally.
In this regard, he emphasized the importance of maintaining consistent efforts to ensure that both local and international tourists enjoy their stay safely and with quality services.
He also noted that security and surveillance measures will be reinforced on highways, beaches, and tourist areas during this season to provide peace of mind to those visiting the state. This effort is not improvised but rather the result of ongoing planning based on monitoring throughout the state.
The governor also emphasized the need to maintain clean beaches, prevent pollution, and ensure adequate sanitary conditions, including epidemiological surveillance to prevent disease. He further reiterated his call for responsibility from authorities and citizens to project a positive image of the state.
In closing, Navarro Quintero added that tourism development should translate into economic benefits for all sectors, generating employment and strengthening the local economy. He also reiterated that Nayarit maintains high tourist occupancy rates and favorable conditions for continued growth during this holiday period and throughout the rest of the year.
