In the municipality of Tecámac, near the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA), an attack occurred in which a pickup truck exploded, killing a suspected Sinaloa Cartel operative. Here are the images.
According to reporter Polo Espejel for Fórmula Noticias, a pickup truck exploded moments after leaving AIFA, killing a suspected Sinaloa Cartel operative nicknamed “El Payin.”
Images from a car traveling alongside the pickup truck show the vehicle exploding and being completely burned out. The roof was destroyed, and the doors couldn’t withstand the force of the explosion. No bodies are visible because the truck was out of control.
Francisco Beltrán, alias “El Payín,” was identified as a suspected Sinaloa Cartel operative originally from Culiacán. According to initial reports, he was not a high-profile leader, but he was allegedly involved in criminal activities within the organization.
He died along with another man after a van exploded in Tecámac, State of Mexico, shortly after leaving Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA). Initial reports indicate the vehicle exploded due to a grenade detonation.
According to available information, “El Payín” had been picked up minutes earlier at AIFA after arriving on a flight from another state. The explosion caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle, resulting in the fatal incident.
