“Men with minors are entering through the back of the hotel…” This was the complaint made via social media, which led to a search warrant being executed Tuesday evening by personnel from the State Attorney General’s Office at the Hotel Madero in Oaxaca City. Evidence related to possible crimes against girls and adolescents was found. The investigation could be expanded not only to other locations in the Central Valleys region but also to the coastal region.
The State Attorney General’s Office confirmed that it has launched an investigation against those allegedly responsible for sexual offenses, following the complaint circulated on social media regarding possible human trafficking at the Hotel Madero, located on Madero Avenue in the city of Oaxaca.
The complaint was made by a group on social media, warning of the alleged entry of minors into the establishment, who could be victims of human trafficking.
In response to these allegations, the institution initiated an investigation, which triggered action protocols, criminal intelligence gathering, and information analysis. As a result of this work, legal evidence was gathered, leading to a search warrant being executed at a property located on Madero Avenue in the municipality of Oaxaca de Juárez.
The operation was coordinated by the Attorney General’s Office through the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for High-Impact Crimes and the State Investigation Agency, with support from the National Defense Secretariat, the National Guard, and the State Police. A force of more than 50 personnel was deployed to ensure the successful execution of the operation.
During the proceedings, personnel from the Institute of Forensic Services participated, including specialists in criminalistics and forensic analysis, who located various relevant pieces of evidence. These findings strengthen the lines of investigation and will allow for further inquiries to determine responsibility and identify the possible commission of crimes related to human trafficking.
The Prosecutor’s Office indicated that these types of actions are carried out in a permanent and coordinated manner, and that the investigations could be extended to other areas of the Central Valleys and the Coast, as part of a strategy focused on the prevention and combating of crimes that affect girls, boys and adolescents.
