Vicente Ángel, a young journalist from Motozintla, was detained after documenting on video an alleged illegal eviction carried out by municipal authorities.
According to his family, he was not participating in the operation nor committing any crime; he was simply recording the events when he was detained by police.
He is currently being held at CERSS No. 7 in Huixtla, while his family has requested the intervention of the authorities to ensure justice is served.
