Wyndham now operates more than 100 hotels across Mexico, having nearly doubled its footprint in just five years. With a presence in over 50 cities through 15 brands, Wyndham attributes this growth primarily to six investors.
Groups such as Alzen, with more than 1,300 rooms; Bel Air, with more than 700 rooms; as well as Optima, Grupo Hola, FibraHotel, and Fibra Inn, are the six that have played a fundamental role in Wyndham’s national presence.
In 2025, Mexico welcomed approximately 47.8 million visitors, generating nearly $35 billion in foreign exchange earnings, both figures showing strong year-over-year growth. With an ambitious goal of increasing international arrivals by double digits over the next five years, the country aims to become one of the top five most visited destinations in the world by 2030, creating a strong opportunity for Wyndham to capture a larger share of one of Latin America’s most dynamic tourism markets.
“Mexico remains an important market for Wyndham, and our brands continue to deliver the performance that owners and strategic partners rely on. This momentum is opening new growth opportunities in high-potential locations throughout the country. As we add new hotels, we remain committed to providing exceptional guest experiences and supporting both Mexico’s iconic destinations and those that are rapidly emerging,” said Gustavo Viescas, President of Latin America and the Caribbean, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
The chain has strengthened its presence by expanding in segments such as midscale, upper-midscale, independent soft brands, all-inclusive, and upper-upscale resorts, including the introduction of the Wyndham Alltra brand in 2021 for accessible all-inclusive experiences.
In November 2025, Wyndham announced that it would reach 100 hotels in Mexico through its alliance with Grupo MX, owner of the Hoteles MX brand, which focuses on offering authentic and personalized experiences to its guests.
