In an unprecedented event, more than 63,000 people visited the Inclusive Beach in the Playa Norte area during Holy Week.
This Inclusive Beach is the second to open on Isla del Carmen and is equipped with the necessary equipment and support staff to allow people with disabilities to enter the sea.
According to figures released by the Municipal DIF System, from March 28 to April 5, during the Sea Festival, it is estimated that more than 63,000 people visited these facilities.
The visitors came from the states of Yucatán, Quintana Roo, Tabasco, Veracruz, Puebla, and the State of Mexico, among others.
The Inclusive Beach’s infrastructure allows people with disabilities to move around easily and access the beach area.
