The Tabasco Attorney General’s Office secured the indictment of Hernán “N”, former state Secretary of Public Security and alleged leader of the La Barredora criminal group, for the crime of embezzlement.
The judge upheld the justified pretrial detention and set a four-month deadline for the supplementary investigation, which will conclude in August 2026.
The former official, arrested on April 7, was already incarcerated at the Altiplano maximum-security prison for other crimes, including criminal association, extortion, and kidnapping.
