This week, the third season of Euphoria arrived on HBO Max. Something that has stood out and caught the attention of Mexicali residents is that one of the scenes in an episode was filmed in some iconic locations in Mexicali.
In this scene, which features well-known spots in the city, the border area and Sebastián Lerdo de Tejada Avenue can be identified, among other landmarks.
Previously, the trailer released on March 30th had already shown some shots of downtown Mexicali.
The scenes filmed in the city are from the first episode, in which Rue Bennett, played by Zendaya, crosses into Mexican territory to traffic drugs from Mexico to the United States.
An interesting fact is that, for this part where the character appears in Mexicali, it wasn’t the actress who filmed the scenes, but her stunt double.
The series stars Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, and Maude Apatow, among others.
