The governor of San Luis Potosí, Ricardo Gallardo Cardona, announced a collaborative strategy with the business alliance in the state to consolidate its position as the fourth strongest economy in Mexico.
“San Luis Potosí is experiencing large-scale growth. With these two new development hubs, we will undoubtedly become the fourth strongest economy in the country. […] Every week, every two weeks, a new company is arriving in the state, reinforcing this important aspect of what we are experiencing today,” stated the governor.
After a meeting with the presidents of the various business chambers, Gallardo Cardona emphasized that they are working to establish communication channels so that the private sector can actively participate in decision-making and in the planning of projects that will drive development in the state’s four regions.
To achieve this goal, the governor is promoting a package of major infrastructure projects in partnership with the private sector. Among the main projects are the expansion of the Alternate Route to the Industrial Zone, as well as the construction of the San Luis-Matehuala and San Luis-Querétaro highways, projects that represent investments exceeding 40 billion pesos.
“You are already familiar with the projects we have with the private sector, with some of your members, such as the San Luis-Matehuala highway, worth more than 22 billion pesos, and the San Luis-Querétaro highway, worth another 20 billion pesos. I believe these are projects that we will continue to pursue hand in hand with the business alliance and, above all, with the private sector, which has given strength to this state,” he explained.
He also announced that two major projects are about to be presented: a new logistics and distribution center and the construction of a new industrial plant. Details of these projects are being kept confidential due to company regulations.
The governor stated that the state’s current economic situation shows sustained growth, with an average of up to 15 new businesses opening each week. The governor of Potosí pointed out that this pace of investment reinforces the comprehensive development of the state and the generation of jobs.
