The rich culinary traditions of Tamaulipas will be featured at the 2026 Taco Festival, to be held in the Magical Town of Taxco, under the national theme “32 Flavors, 32 States.”
The Secretary of Tourism for Tamaulipas, Benjamín Hernández Rodríguez, highlighted that this emblematic event will bring together representatives from all 32 Mexican states in Plaza Borda, offering a representative sample of the country’s culinary diversity.
From April 30 to May 2, visitors and tourists can enjoy a gastronomic journey through the different varieties of tacos that characterize the regions of Mexico.
The official noted that this festival not only celebrates one of the most representative dishes of Mexican cuisine but also strengthens cultural and tourism ties between the states.
“Each Tamaulipas taco reflects the state’s productive identity, from agriculture and livestock to the culinary traditions that give rise to its distinctive flavor,” he stated.
He also emphasized that Tamaulipas boasts a wide variety of culinary offerings that attract local, national, and international visitors, solidifying its position as a destination with its own distinct culinary identity.
Finally, he indicated that this festival is part of the parallel activities of the Tianguis Turístico de México 2026, which will be held in Acapulco from April 27 to 30, where Tamaulipas will have a prominent presence to promote its tourist attractions.
