As a result of 231 operational actions carried out throughout the state, security forces arrested 80 people in Puebla between April 20 and 26.
Among the results was the capture of the main operator of the criminal group “Los Pericos,” an organization linked to extortion, fuel theft, drug trafficking, and weapons stockpiling in Puebla and Veracruz. Authorities also reported the arrest of a man with more than 106 packets of marijuana and crystal meth.

During the same period, an air and ground operation was deployed on the Puebla-Tehuacán federal highway, with the participation of the State Preventive Police and municipal police forces from Tecamachalco, San Salvador Huixcolotla, Palmar de Bravo, Los Reyes de Juárez, and Tochtepec.
In these operations, authorities seized 222 doses of suspected drugs, disabled two illegal taps into pipelines, and recovered 1,125 liters of fuel.
They also reported the recovery of 63 stolen vehicles and the seizure of 28 vehicles linked to criminal activity.
The Government of the State of Puebla, through the Secretariat of Public Security, reiterated its commitment to maintaining coordinated efforts with the Secretariat of the Navy (Semar), the Secretariat of National Defense (Defensa), the National Guard (GN), and municipal police forces to strengthen security in the state.
