Lack of electricity hinders investment in Baja California Sur

34

The electricity shortage in Baja California Sur has become a key obstacle to economic development, primarily affecting municipalities like Los Cabos and La Paz, where dozens of investment projects remain stalled. CANIRAC, through its advisor Lorena Hinojosa, warns that this situation limits job creation and the establishment of new businesses.

Hinojosa, who also coordinates investments in the state, pointed out that most investors face difficulties in completing projects due to the lack of energy capacity.

Given this situation, discussions have begun with the Undersecretary of Economy to promote projects that strengthen electricity distribution in the state.
