Viva will begin operating a new route between Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) and Manzanillo starting July 2nd. This connection marks the airline’s first foray into the state of Colima, as announced by the company at the Tianguis Turístico 2026 in Acapulco.
The schedule will feature three weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Flights from AIFA will depart at 12:25 PM and land in Manzanillo at 1:45 PM; the return flight from Manzanillo is scheduled to depart at 2:15 PM and arrive in Colima at 3:40 PM. The service will be operated with Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, part of the company’s fleet of 108 planes.
“This route will allow us to bring Colima and Manzanillo closer to Mexico, the United States, and South America, because through AIFA we will be connecting with more than 35 national and international routes,” stated Jorge Padilla Castillo, Undersecretary of Tourism for Colima. The official added that the project was the result of a collaboration between Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (Pacific Airport Group) and the state government.
From the hub at AIFA, passengers arriving from Manzanillo will be able to access connections to destinations such as Bogotá, Cancún, Guadalajara, and Monterrey. According to information provided by the company, the connectivity network from this terminal plans to soon add destinations such as Aguascalientes, Cartagena, and Medellín.
