ABUSE OF POWER AND EXTORTION! CORRUPTION IN THE #EdoMéx POLICE LEAVES A DISABLED DELIVERY DRIVER WITHOUT A LIVELIHOOD.

In an act of utter dehumanization and alleged corruption, Officer #ZavalaSaavedraVanesaDolores—of the State of Mexico’s Secretariat of Security—stripped a young motorcyclist with a disability of his primary work tool, leaving him injured and his family defrauded of thousands of pesos.

This incident of “road terror” occurred on May 20, 2026, at 12:30 PM, on Lázaro Cárdenas Avenue in the #Independencia neighborhood. The young app-based food delivery driver was riding his motorcycle to earn a living and put food on his family’s table. Officer Zavala Saavedra, driving patrol unit ME-825-A5, stalked and stopped him for an alleged traffic violation.

The driver admitted to the infraction and requested an official citation so he could pay the fine through legal channels. Witnesses claim the uniformed officer was expecting the infamous “mordida”—a bribe—to “buy a soda.” Upon realizing the worker would not play along, she unleashed her fury—despite the fact that, as a state police officer, she lacks the authority to issue traffic citations (a power reserved for traffic police officers only):

Brute Force: She physically dragged the driver off his motorcycle, beating him and ignoring the fact that the young man had recently undergone surgery and was still in recovery.

Severe Injuries: The incisions from his recent surgery reopened due to the officer’s violent physical struggle.

Theft of Belongings: She confiscated his fanny pack, which contained his earnings for the day, before taking him into custody.

To justify her brutality, the officer had the motorcycle impounded and took the driver to the Public Prosecutor’s Office under the false charge of “resisting arrest.” At the government offices, the trap was sprung: acting in collusion with the duty prosecutor, they extorted the family, demanding 8,000 pesos in exchange for the young man’s release.

Today, the young man continues to suffer from physical and psychological pain; moreover, he lacks the funds to retrieve his motorcycle from the impound lot—all because of the financial greed of an alleged public servant who wears the uniform of the law. ***This officer is officially not a member of the State Traffic Police, but rather of the State Police—allegedly the Shift Commander of the First Grouping of the 28th Region, in the municipality of Nicolás Romero.

Attention: Government of the State of Mexico and the State of Mexico Attorney General’s Office.
