A new case of alleged animal cruelty has been reported after a young man allegedly killed a one-and-a-half-month-old Chihuahua puppy, cooked it, and ate it. The incident occurred in Piedras Negras, Coahuila.
According to available information, the events took place in the early hours of Saturday morning in the Piedras Negras ejido, in the aforementioned border municipality.
José Ángel M., 26, nicknamed “El Pelón,” was identified as the alleged perpetrator.
It was the man’s mother, who is allegedly a drug addict, who reported the incident out of fear for the family’s health.
Animal Welfare authorities took charge of the case, and police officers made the arrest.
As evidence, authorities seized the puppy’s remains in a pot.
On Monday afternoon, a warrant was issued and executed for the crime of animal cruelty.
