U.S. exports to Mexico reached a record $35.343 billion in April, according to Census Bureau data, cementing the Mexican market as the top destination for U.S. products.
This marks the second consecutive month of record-breaking levels, following March sales to the country of $32.775 billion.
The rise in exports helped narrow the U.S. trade deficit with Mexico, which fell from $18.427 billion in March to $15.348 billion in April.
Meanwhile, imports of Mexican goods saw a slight decline, totaling $50.692 billion, after hitting an all-time high of $51.202 billion the previous month.
Mexico remains the United States’ leading trading partner, serving as both a key supplier and a major destination for exports.
