What Is CREO Like?

The Oaxaca Ecological Regeneration Center is a space dedicated to the conservation of Oaxaca’s native flora and fauna, including butterflies and various plant species from the state’s eight regions.

The site features a butterfly sanctuary, an extensive botanical garden, an aquatic plant pond, and a farm, as well as large green areas where visitors can relax.

In the butterfly sanctuary, visitors can observe these small insects through their three stages of development, from worms and caterpillars to the majestic winged creatures they eventually become.

At the pond, visitors can see an interesting variety of aquatic plants and fish species. Meanwhile, at the farm, they can observe the way nature and animal life coexist.

Throughout the tour, along paths lined with pine trees and rustic areas filled with large rocks, visitors can find various sculptures made from natural materials and spaces designed for taking photographs, such as a plant tunnel, countryside-style dining areas, uniquely shaped tree trunks, and many other attractions.
