“Ventana a México” kicks off with a promotion for Baja California in San Diego.

Featuring tourism promotion booths and a space showcasing handicrafts and informational brochures, the Baja California edition of Ventana a México (Window to Mexico) opened this Friday at the Consulate General of Mexico in San Diego.

Ventana a México is a project that originated here, at the Consulate General of Mexico in San Diego, with the aim of promoting the various tourist attractions found across Mexico’s different states.”

During the opening ceremony, Kerber was joined by Tecate Mayor Román Cota Muñoz, San Ysidro Port Director Mariza Marin, Baja California Secretary of Tourism Miguel Ángel Badiola Montaño, and other representatives from the state’s tourism sector.

Throughout the month, Ventana a México will provide San Diego residents with tourism information regarding Baja California’s various municipalities. Activities kicked off this weekend with information booths dedicated to Tecate.

The Mayor of Tecate highlighted that his city is the only “Magical Town” (Pueblo Mágico) along the border region and the only one with a port of entry into the United States.

Ventana a México will be open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Consulate General of Mexico in San Diego, located at 1549 India Street. Admission is free.

“We have hosted various states at Ventana a México. Chiapas, Oaxaca, and Durango have participated, and today we are featuring Baja California. We have a program that will run throughout the year.”
